From the beginning, we knew Victoria + Tom’s wedding would be different, not just different, enchanting. They described their vision for the celebration with a theme of “Blue Moon/Love is…”  and the look as “country casual elegance”. We were thrilled to assist this Tony Award winning actress with such a romantic production!

Victoria chose costume designer Catherine Zuber to create her blush colored gown and walked down the aisle to, “Be Gentle, Be Honest” sung by the original artist, Jane Kelly Williams. Rich purples, soothing creams and lemony yellows were pulled in from the invitations, to the florals, linens and cake.

Guests were greeted with a refreshing glass of a lemon ginger shrub under tall branches strung with candles at the foyer of the Bride’s Brother’s home. A unique cantilevered deck which jetted into the forest was the perfect spot for their vows. T.L., the Bride’s Son, sang “Some Enchanted Evening” which certainly defined the night’s festivities.

Cocktail hour was filled with a mix of Bluegrass and Irish music as gazpacho shooters were preset at each place setting. Guests were served family style on a mix of long and round tables set on the deck just outside the home. One of the most memorable moments came as a friend gave a “Harvest Toast” and invited guests to pick up sunflower seeds that had been scattered on the tables, encouraging them to gift them to those they are thankful for. The toast ended as this spirited friend threw the seeds in the air amid cheers and clapping for the couple.

As if this moment weren’t enchanting enough, the crowd then moved inside for scores of beautiful songs and dancing before the cake was cut and a multitude of desserts were displayed. Events like this are the most memorable because of the intimacy and originality the couple embrace throughout the planning. After all, they only happen once in a blue moon and we were honored to have been there!
