Inauguration Inspired Menu for your wedding
If you are looking for inspiration for your reception or rehearsal dinner menu, consider drawing on a menu from the past or incorporate favorites that have special meaning to your family or heritage. The upcoming Inaugural Luncheon is following just such inspiration. After the new president is sworn-in, he and his distinguished guests will dine in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol on a menu inspired by Abraham Lincoln's favorite foods, served on a replica of the Lincoln china.

The floral arrangements, designed by JLB Floral of Alexandria, Virginia, will feature Red Charlotte roses, Rouge Basier roses, Hot Lady roses, a floribunda rose called Hot Majolica, hydrangea in shades of blues and purples, and light blue delphinium in a footed brass compote. After the luncheon, the floral arrangements will be given to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. This is something you can do with your reception flowers as well. Many reception venues will donate the arrangements to hospitals if you let them know your wishes beforehand.
